Electric locomotive class 465, BLS, "Alp Transit", wheel arrangement 4-4. Model of the 460 108-4 "Engadin". Body plastic, frame die-cast metal, drive on all 4 axles, 2 wheels with traction tires. Motor with flywheel, true to the original finely detailed pantograph. Widened adapter wipers included. Light alternation according to SBB standard, as in the original: 3 x white in front, 1 x white rear. Total length 212 mm.
For operation on the Lötschberg route, with inclines of up to 2.7%, the BLS ordered 8 class 465 three-phase current locomotives.
A further 10 units were purchased by the SBB, and leased by the BLS. Unlike the SBB 460, which has one inverter set per bogie, the 465 has a separate inverter for each drive motor. This allows individual control if an axle starts to spin and the locomotive threatens to slip. This enables the 465 to produce 7000 kW power output - the performance limit for a 4-axle locomotive.
